The Great Sphinx of Egypt

MELANET UnCut Chat and Discussion: When Black Men Ruled The World (On Africentrism): The Great Sphinx of Egypt

Mr. Edward Parker’s comments on the age of the Great Sphinx tap into the most profound controversy in History and Geology that exists today. Some geologists believe that the
Sphinx may have been built as early as 7,000 B.C., while other scientists argue that it is much, much older; but many Egyptologists dismiss the evidence. Dr. Robert Shoch has published the latest information on this controversy in his
relatively new book, “Voices of The Rocks: A Scientist Looks at Catastrophies and Ancient Civilizations,” Harmony Books, New York, 1999. Dr. Shoch is the world’s foremost authority
on the age of the Sphinx and the Giza Plateau. For more information, look at back issues of KMT magazine and purchase the tape “Mysteries of the Sphinx,” which aired several years ago on the NBC network. If you can’t find the tape in bookstores, you may find it at your local library.

It is very probable that the findings and contributions presented by Dr. Shoch are indeed true. Certainly, I am no expert on the subject, but as someone very interested in the topic as well as many on this site, I would like to add that considering the fact that the earliest evidences of human activity in Egypt were agriculturists and artesians who were established in the valley of the Nile; referring to those called Taso-Badarians, the first predynastic (prehistoric) culture, this impressionable figure called the Sphinx very well could have been built at such an early date. The Taso-Badarians are of African origin, which led to two successive prehistoric culture phases, best called Naqada I and II, ending about 3,000 B.C. or shortly thereafter. Now, if such civilization and data of African, Egyptian human activity existed way before 3,000 B.C. it is certainly possible that the Sphinx may have been built as early as this date or further (7,000 B.C.) as been expressed by Dr. Shoch. Another interesting note is that today's modern Egyptians are in direct descendence from those expressed of ancient Egypt. As the Ethiopians;others originated in Africa, and who were dominated by Egypt, the Bible in Genesis 10:6 expresses the descendence of Cush (Aithiops,"the one of burnt face") which is part of the kingdom of Nubia, and confirms the existance of black ethnia from the beginning of time.
